Well as if Beyonce living and breathing on the same planet as us wasn't gift enough to mankind. She decided to drop a bombshell on the World a couple of days ago and release a whole album, complete with 14 songs and 17 videos to be exact. You see the Queen didn't just release any old album, she released a self titled visual album for us to marvel over. My heart was genuinely all over the place.
In just one weekend Beyonce has sold over 80,000 copies of her new album and is already topping the charts. Is there anything this woman can't do?
The album features her husband Jay-Z and daughter Blu-Ivy. In the words of the Queen herself, 'I wanted people to hear the song with the story, because that's what makes it mine'. My take on the album is that she is trying to give the public a more personal insight into her life and what motivates her. Ever since her marriage with Jay-Z and the birth of her daughter she has been a lot more forthcoming with her personal life, and this album is a part of this new, essentially emancipated Beyonce. I can't wait for whatever else she has in stall for us. The woman really is a force to be reckoned with!
